Another big title game has been hit with the delay bug, this time it is the revamped version of Tomb Raider. It has been a couple of years now since the last game, so pushing the title into the early part of 2013 doesn’t sound too bad, as long as it does the game service. Crystal Dynamics has delayed the game to get the title to be “the best game of our careers”.
Tomb Raider was set to launch later this year in the fall, now it is being set to release sometime between January and March 2013.It will be coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
“Our priority now is to make sure we fully deliver the very highest quality game. In order to do this, we have decided to move the game’s release date by a few months,” Crystal Dynamics studio’s Darrell Gallagher said in a statement.
“We’re doing things that are completely new to Tomb Raider in this game and the additional development time will allow us to put the finishing touches into the game and polish it to a level that you deserve. We believe this is the right choice and I guarantee it will be worth the wait.”
