Baldur’s Gate Remake Coming to iPad

Last week it was announced that Atari, Overhaul Games, Beamdog and Wizards of the Coast would be remaking the first two Baldur’s Gate games, and people were understandably excited. I never got into the games but enough people did for the first game to considered an RPG classic. The Enhanced Edition of the first game will use an “improved” Infinity Engine, have the expansion pack Tales of the Sword Coast built in and will have a new character as well as a new adventure.

But wait, there’s more. The Enhanced Edition of the first game as well as the second game will be coming to the iPad as well. No news yet on any kind of features the iPad version will have over the PC version, but it could be something.

The iPad version and probably the PC version as well will be coming out this summer.

That’s not all. According to Giant Bomb, if these two games do well, Overhaul is hoping to make Baldur’s Gate III, possibly funded through Kickstarter.
