TOYBOXXStar Trek Online: The Final Frontier began as an experiment that chronicles the day and life of a guy named Dryxx. Every week we’ll witness his adventures and his career in The Federation Star Fleet. But most importantly, we’ll see him grow as a young sprout within the ranks first as Ensign to eventually becoming the Captain of his own ship. So, join me this week as we’ll take a look at the first adventure of Ensign Dryxx.
Meet Dryxx. Fresh out of the Academy. He’s met not with a welcome party and a friendly handshake. Rather, instead he’s met with the looming threat of disaster. The Borg have entered Federation Space and are now attacking the Vega Colony. The Federation Fleet scramble to their battle stations in preparation for a full scale attack. While dodging the panicked masses coming and going to-and-from the many different rooms in the narrow corridor of the ship, Dryxx receives a call from Commander Taggard requesting his presence on the Bridge.
One of the ships capable of defending off the Borg, USS Khitomer, sends a distress call to any Federation Ship within the area and requests immediate assistance. Commander Taggart orders a scan of the distressed ship for survivors, and finds that the only one talking aboard the USS Khitomer is the Emergency Medical Hologram informing any that willing to listen that the ship have been boarded by the Borg. In order to save the USS Khitomer, and her crew, the Commander sends Ensign Dryxx (of course) to assess the situation and recover any survivors.
The injured lay where ever they can find room. On medical beds, even on storage containers. The Emergency Medical Hologram tells Dryxx that Lieutenant Thelius needs help in holding back the Borg in the Auxiliary Room. In order to do this Dryxx will need to beam the Borg out of the Auxiliary Room to the hull of this ship. From there he can send them off into space.
After dispatching the Borg into space, Commander Davis of the USS Khitomer sent Dryxx into the lower decks of the ship to eliminate Borg devices that are disrupting the ship’s communications. Unfortunately, Borg officers are in the way of the task. (It can’t be that easy can it? Answer: Yes)
So, now to finally rid the Borg from the USS Khitomer Dryxx would need to head to Engineering and fend of hoards of Borg to defend the Warp Core so that the Khitomer can Warp to safety.
After successfully defeating the Borg hoard, Commander Davis informs Dryxx that his ship is being attacked as well by the Borg and that he’ll need to beam back to his ship to help with the fight. As a gesture of kindness (if you call it that) Commander Davis has sent a Junior Officer to help out. Dryxx must choose either a Science Officer or a Tactical officer….
