I know, for some of us Nathan Fillion already is a God, but now I guess we can make it official.
It has been announced that the star of ABC’s Castle has signed on to play the Greek God Hermes in the sequel to The Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Sea of Monsters. The film is based on Rick Riordan’s second book of his young-adult series.
Thor Freudthal is taking the helm as the director, while Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario and Brandon T. Jackson are all back on board for the sequel.
In the Percy series Hermes is the father of Luke, who is played by Jake Abel who is the films antagonist. Hermes (originally played by Dylan Neal), now played by Fillion will have more meatier role in the film unlike in the previous one.
The first film Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lighting Thief grossed a total of $226.5 million in the box office world wide in 2010.
