DeadMicrosoft has announced the next installment in the Gears of War franchise as well as an updated version of the original Gears.
Gears of War 4 is the newest game in the franchise and the first developed by The Coalition, formerly Black Tusk Studios. The gameplay demo above shows two characters on screen and reveals the game is coming next holiday season.
On top of Gears 4, Microsoft is also releasing Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, a definitive style edition of the original Gears game coming to the Xbone. The new edition will include the remastered original game, additional content that was only available on PC, gameplay features from Gears 3, and characters from later games in the series in the multiplayer. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is coming to Xbone August 25th to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original game.
