E3 is only a couple of weeks away, and the big announcements are starting to come.
2K Games has announced that a sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the beloved reboot of the series, is in development with Firaxis Games at the helm once again.
Set 20 years after the events of the previous game, the aliens have officially won the war against humanity and have established a new world order. XCOM is reformed in the hopes of driving the alien overlords out and taking the planet back.
So far the game has only been confirmed for PC, with Feral Interactive also doing ports to Mac and Linux. It is scheduled for release this November.
