Digimon Adventure tri gets Original Monster Cast

The voice cast of the original Digimon partners of the first DigiDestined have officially signed on to Digimon Adventure tri. The official site for the show made the announcement on Tuesday, along with a new key visual update. The voice cast is as follows:

Chika Sakamoto as Agumon
Mayumi Yamaguchi as Gabumon
Katori Shigematsu as Piyomon
Junko Takeuchi as Gomamon
Kinoko Yamada as Palmon
Miwa Matsumoto as Patamon
Takahiro Sakurai as Tentomon
Yuka Tokumitsu as Tailmon

The series will be a sequel to the original 1999 run of the show, and it will follow the original DigiDestined six years after their first adventure in the digital world, when they are called upon again to save the digital world.
