New Gintama Series Gets Air Date

After a modest first run of 275 episodes, TV Tokyo has decided that we haven’t gotten enough of Gintama. It was announced that the new series based off of Hideaki Sorachi’s manga would be premiering in Japan on April 8, at 6:00 PM local time. This series has been a highly anticipated follow-up to the original run, and I will most likely be checking it out, as I enjoyed the first series immensely.

Gintama is a alternate history of Japan where aliens, not Europeans, made contact during the Edo period of the nation’s history.
