A new, super-special, limited edition of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, called the Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition has just peeked from behind the curtain and headed straight to the top of the best limited edition ever list! This $400 box of tchotchkies comes with PS4 or Xbone editions of Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequal, a steel box, special lithograph cards, all of the released DLC, and the coup de grace; a remote controlled Claptrap!
This awesome special edition is limited to only 5,000 total units for the whole world and isn’t available for pre-order yet, but will launch on 3/24. The fancy little Claptrap that comes with it will be controlled via an Android/IOS app called, fittingly, the ClaptrApp, which will not only control the little bastard, but also display video from the camera mounted on his little face(?).
The games themselves feature enhanced graphics and performance, as well as new 4-player split-screen couch co-op. The visuals are described as having resolution and performance not seen on a console in this series, and players on PS3 and Xbox 360 will be able to transfer their saved progress into the updated versions.
The only downside I can see is that this will officially mark the third time I’ve purchased Borderlands 2. I still can’t wait to see it though…
