DC kind of doesn’t care about its comics. At least that’s the feeling I get from them by reading them week to week. The only comics from them I’ve been reading that have been consistently decent are some of the Batman books and the Injustice: Gods Among Us digital comic. So I guess that means the new Batman video game tie in book will be pretty decent, too.
Like they did with Arkham City, DC will be publishing a prequel comic to the next game in Rocksteady’s Arkham series, Batman: Arkham Knight, that will debut this coming March. The book will be written by Peter J. Tomasi (Batman and Robin, bunch of other DC stuff), with art by Viktor Bogdanovic (Reality Check) and Art Thibert (52, and a good chunk of The New 52 books).
The book begins right after Arkham City, with Bruce Wayne recovering from what happened in the previous game. “But as the sun rises in Gotham City, dangerous new threats emerge from the shadows…and the Arkham Knight is just beginning.”
That first prequel comic was pretty good, and I’ve really been liking Tomasi’s run on Batman and Robin, so this could be pretty good.
Batman: Arkham Knight is set to release in June 2015.
