Take-Two Interactive has announced a delay for the hotly anticipated multiplayer 4 vs monster shooter, Evolve, pushing the game into February of 2015 from its previously planned October release.
Take-Two didn’t provide a specific reason for the delay when they announced it in their earnings release, but later commented that the time will allow the team time to “fully realize the vision for Evolve and meet our collective standards of creative excellence.”
Could the delay be due to issues realized in the closed alpha? Or did Take-Two decide against releasing Evolve in a crowded release window? Whatever the reason, hopefully the extra time in the oven will help ensure Evolve lives up to everyone’s expectations and serves as a worthy follow-up to the Left 4 Dead games.
