One of the things Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is doing is bringing over most of the people from Persona 3 who weren’t in the first P4A. Yukari and Junpei were announced some time last year, and now two of the more unusual characters are making a comeback. They’re unusual because they’re a 10 year old boy and a dog.
Ken Amada and Koromaru from Persona 3 are joining the roster of playable characters in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. Unlike the other fighters, these two will be playable as a set. So instead of playing as Ken or Koromaru, you play both as one fighter. In P3, Ken had the powers of light and lightning thanks to his persona Nemesis, and Koromaru had the powers of fire and darkness thanks to Cerberus.
From the looks of things, Ken has gotten older and really grown up. He’s even passed his hoodie on to Koromaru. It will be interesting seeing how these two fight together.
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is set for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 on August 28th in Japan and September 30th in North America.
