Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 4, the sequel to the goddamn amazing Far Cry 3, will be shipping later this year for every major console.
In a post on the UbiBlog, we got our first look at the box art of the game and the antagonist. He’s the fashion mogul looking dude in the image above. He is the self-appointed king of Kyrat, a fictional part of the Himalayas where the game takes place. Like its predecessor, the game will be an open-world FPS with the huge environment lending itself to more open ended gameplay. Executive producer Dan Hay said about the game…
Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’ expectations. Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.
The game is currently in development by five Ubisoft studios. Montreal is leading the charge in collaboration with Toronto, Kiev, Shanghai, and Red Storm Entertainment
Far Cry 4 is coming to the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on November 18th, 2014.
