So Gamescom is happening right now. And a couple of days ago Sony had their press conference and announced when the PS4 is coming out. Yeah, I dropped the ball.
On Tuesday, Andrew House of Sony Computer Entertainment announced that the PS4 will be hitting shelves in the US and Canada on November 15th and in Europe on November 29th. Sony also said that the console will be launching in over 30 countries by the end of the year.
According to a press release, the European countries that are getting the PS4 on the 29th are Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
The console will also be launching in Latin America on the 29th in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama and Peru.
No release date has been announced for Japan.
At launch the PS4 will run you $399 in the U.S., €399 in Europe and £349 in the U.K.
