With Hollywood working their way through classic movie monsters to update, it was only a matter of time before they got back around to Frankenstein. But at least with this monster they got a guy with some actual talent to play the lead role. Not the monster, mind, but the doctor.
Fox has announced that they’ve chosen James McAvoy, better known as Professor X from X-Men: First Class and the upcoming Days of Future Past, to play the good doctor Victor von Frankenstein in the studio’s retelling of the Mary Shelley story. He’ll be starring alongside Daniel Radcliffe as Igor. An actor for the monster has yet to chosen.
No idea when this movie is coming out, but I think it could be good.
