For some completely idiotic reason, everyone in charge of Superman and Wonder Woman think it’s a good idea for the two of them to be together. Well, except for the guys writing Wonder Woman. They haven’t even mentioned Superman. But anyway, the two of them are getting their own book, presumably to spend all of their time talking about the sex they have but we can’t be shown.
Called Superman/Wonder Woman, the ongoing series will be launching this fall and, according to IGN, “explore the budding relationship between the DCU’s most powerful heroes.” It will be written by Charles Soule, who’s currently writing Swamp Thing and doing a pretty good job of it, with art by Tony Daniel, who’s currently drawing Action Comics and doing an awesome job of it.
Despite the fact that I hate this couple with a fiery passion that puts the pits of Tartarus to shame (Wonder Bat forever), I will still be picking up this book. Soule and Daniel are two really talented guys, and earlier this year I had a series that I thought I would hate surprise be by turning a character I hated with that aforementioned passion into a really great character that I want to see more of. So who knows? Maybe the book will turn out good.
Superman/Wonder Woman issue 1 is set to drop this October.
