Last week, DC editor-in-chief Bob Harras started “What’s New in the New 52,” a feature on the DC Comics Blog to tease some of the new things happening in the DCU. So far we’ve gotten Papa Midnight, Relic, and the Green Team, and now we have three more.
First, Jonah Hex from All-Star Western is taking a little trip into present day Gotham. This has something to do with Booster Gold appearing soon or having appeared in Hex’s book. If I read ASW this could be pretty cool, but I don’t so I only find this mildly interesting.
Next up, the return of Cyborg Superman! The last time I know that Cyborg Superman showed up was the whole Coma and Return of Superman story (he probably showed up after that, I’m not sure), and from the post it sounds like it’s possible they could be returning to that story. Harras wrote…
Some of you might remember the last time a Cyborg Superman showed up. Would we dare revisit such a classic storyline? Hmmm. Well, never say never, right? As I’ve been telling you, all bets are off. Everything’s on the table.
Below is Kenneth Rocafort’s sketch of the new design, and looking at it I know one of the main reasons I keep reading Superman. It looks fantastic.
Finally, since we have a new Batwing, might as well give him a new villain. The first baddie Luke Fox will face after donning the cowl will be Lady Vic, an assassin who “will put Luke to the test like never before,” as Harras puts. Presumably that means she’ll try to kill him but who knows.
We’ll keep you guys updated as more teasers are released.
