Valiant has done real well for itself recently by relaunching a bunch of their old series. I’ve read a couple of them and they are pretty good. Now we’re getting another blast from Valiant’s past as they bring back the world’s worst superhero team (their words, not mine).
Valiant announced last week that they are going to be rebooting their series Quantum and Woody this summer. The new book, which is being written by James Asmus (Gambit, Thief of Thieves) and drawn by Tom Fowler (Hulk: Season One, Venom) will focus on our two title characters, Eric (he’s Quantum) and Woody Henderson, as they try to solve the mystery of who murdered their father. Some of the more keen people out there may have noticed from the image above that Quantum is black while Woody is white. They’re adopted, okay? Also a goat.
The original Quantum and Woody series ran for 17 issues between 1997 and 1998, and was briefly brought back in ’99. In that series, the two were childhood friends who drifted apart and were reunited to solve the murder of both of their fathers. Also a goat.
The new Quantum and Woody is set for release on July 10th for $3.99.
