Christian Bale May Return As Batman

According to a report by Latino Review, Christian Bale is in talks to reprise his role as Batman in the upcoming Justice League movie. Christopher Nolan is also rumored to be overseeing the project and possibly directing.

The report says that Warner Bros wants the entire DC Universe to be connected to Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy and in order to ensure this goes smoothly have put Nolan in a position of involvement with all of the DCU properties (similar to Joss Whedon’s current position at Marvel).

If this news is true it would likely mean good things for the Warner Bros DC Universe. Marvel had great success in having the Phase One films lead into The Avengers. If Warner Bros can pull off a similar feat it will lead to an awesome and competitive box office release (as well as a gravelly voiced Batman) as both Justice League and The Avengers 2 will be in theaters at the same time. It will also continue a pattern of movie makers lying that has plagued recent news stories (JJ Abrams and Star Wars, Star Trek 2, etc.).
