Mass Effect 3 DLC Reckoning Out Now, Citadel Out Next Week

I still haven’t beaten Mass Effect 3, so I have no opinion on how shit the ending is, yet. But, from what I’ve heard, BioWare has been doing well in making up for it with the post-launch content, and they will be finishing their DLC apology next week.

Mass Effect 3‘s two new pieces of DLC have been announced, and the first is already out. Called Reckoning, the first pack is a free multiplayer add-on and the final multiplayer add-on. It adds six new characters: a Geth Juggernaut, a female biotic Turian, an Alliance Infiltration Unit, Krogan Warlord Sentinel, a human with a bow because sci-fi, and a Collector Adept.

The pack also includes seven new weapons: a venom shotgun, a Blood Pack Executioner pistol, a Blood Pack Punisher SMG, a Geth Spitfire assault rifle, a Lancer assault rifle, a Chakram Launcher assault rifle, and an Adas Anti-Synthetic Rifle.

Finally, the pack has six new pieces of equipment: A Geth Scanner, Assault Rifle Ultralight Materials, a pistol power amplifier, an SMG power amplifier, Shotgun Ultralight Materials, and a Batarian Gauntelt.

Reckoning is up now for free on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

The second pack is Citadel, the final single player add-on. This pack sees Shepard and the remaining crew of the Normandy return to the Citadel for some reason. There, players will go on a mission that gives them the “opportunity to reconnect with some of their favorite characters from all three of the Mass Effect games.” Assuming, of course, they aren’t all dead (Why, Tali!?). The pack comes out on March 5th and will you $15, or 1200 MSP.
