The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Coming to PS4

Earlier this month, CD Projekt Red announced that they will be wrapping up their Witcher series of video games with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. While it was obvious from the get-go the game would be coming to PC, CD Projekt hadn’t said whether we would be getting a console version. That is, until Wednesday happened.

On Thursday, Adam Badowski, head of CD Projekt Red, released the following statement that The Witcher 3 will be coming to the PS4.

After yesterday’s PlayStation Meeting we can finally promise: The Witcher 3 is coming to the PlayStation 4. The new hardware gives us the opportunity to create something great. We are able to work with the new console from its birth and this allows our in-house REDengine 3 to push the graphical limits of what the PlayStation hardware can display. The console is fresh and has some innovative solutions that we’re looking forward to using in our game.

I’m still new to the Witcher franchise, but this is pretty cool. One more reason for me to farm my body out for scientific experimentation so I can afford the PS4.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming to the PS4 and PC in 2014.
