During New York Comic Con this past October, Dynamite Entertainment announced that Brian Buccellato, co-writer and colourist of The Flash would be writing a new series based off the pulp hero The Black Bat. Finally, details have been revealed about the project.
For those who aren’t aware, The Black Bat is a classic pulp adventure hero from the early 1930s (pre-dating Batman). This series tells the story of hotheaded defence attorney Tony Quinn, who works for the mob. When he refuses to commit murder, the mob tortures Quinn and blinding him. He is given a chance to right his wrongs when he meets a covert agency that leads him taking the mantle of The Black Bat and fight injustice. It’s very Batman meets Daredevil meets Iron Man.
