If you’re tired of the barrage of big-budget action explosion movies that have increased in numbers over the years, Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore may have what you’re looking for. He is a part of a class of filmmakers who want to give audiences a light-hearted break. To do this he has the help of one of the funniest actresses of our time, Tina Fey.
Moore is now in talks to direct The Nest for Universal, written by SNL veteran Paula Pell and Tina Fey eyeing to star (and produce under her Little Stranger, Inc. banner)
The Nest would tell the story of two 30-something sister who find out their parents’ house has been put up for sale and spend one last weekend together, “bonding and feuding and finally growing up.” Literally a film tailor made for Fey and Amy Poehler.
Tina Fey is currently about to start production on the set of The Muppets… Again and it’d be a logical move to move onto The Nest next for her first real post-30 Rock project.
