Two New Avatar Comics Coming this June

To be clear this is an article about the cartoon series, not James Cameron’s 3D epic. Now, with that out of the way: there will be two new comic book releases from Dark Horse Comics to help fans get a closer look into the world that they enjoyed watching so much on the television. Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Search, Part Two, (two colons in the same sentence? Suck it, grammar nazis!) and The Legend of Korra: The Art of the Animated Series, Book One. 

The Search is a graphic novel series that is endeavoring to answer the question on every fan’s mind, “What happened to Zuko’s mother?” and the new book  is the second part of the story. The Korra book is an exposé on the art of the animated series, as well as some of the origins behind why they made some of the decisions they made with the animation. Both books will be released in July.
