In 2010, there was a game that came out for Wii that made me want to actually hold on to my Wii (*insert rimshot here*) for a bit longer. Kirby’s Epic Yarn was an awesome looking and awesome looking game that I really wanted to try but I didn’t have the money for it. Now it seems that the Epic Yarn devs are working on another game that actually makes want to get a Wii U. What is it with these guys?
Good-Feel and HAL Laboratory are working on an as-yet-unnamed game starring Yoshi that will be coming to the Wii U. As you can see from the image above, it has a very similar art style to Epic Yarn and could possibly carry over some of the mechanics like manipulating the world with a whip. In Yoshi’s case it would be his tongue but you get the idea.
It was also revealed on Nintendo Direct that Takashi Tezuka, the director of Yoshi’s Island and Yoshi’s Story, will be supervising the game’s development.
