Nadeo and Ubisoft have gone in an interesting direction with their Mania games. It all started with TrackMania, a racing game where you don’t actually race against other people (it’s complicated). Then after TrackMania 2: Canyon, they announced ShootMania Storm and QuestMania as part of ManiaPlanet. It’s all kind of insane. And it looks like we have to wait for the next bit of the insanity, as ShootMania Storm has been delayed.
The online FPS, which was originally set for release this month, has been pushed back a bit to April 10th. But if you can’t wait that long for one of the weirder online shooters I’ve seen recently, the game will be going into open beta next month on February 12th.
