Back in 2011 Microsoft purchased communication platform Skype. Since then they haven’t really done anything with it. But, sources have told CVG that Microsoft is planning on integrating Skype with a line-up of online-capable communication devices, including the next generation Xbox.
According to “a person familiar with the matter” is saying that Microsoft is planning on “consolidating all their communications technology” around Skype. This means that the platform will be replacing Microsoft’s MSN Messenger as the default instant messaging service for all PCs and tablets.
