I’ve been waiting to get my hands on Injustice: Gods Among Us since it was first announced. If you’ll remember when we did our best games of 2011, NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat was number 4 on my list, right above Skyrim. So when I heard they were going to be making a similar kind of fighting game with DC characters, I was pumped. And now I know how long I have to save the quarters I get from the shoe shine stand I run out of my basement, as Injustice has been dated for release on April 16th.
Also announced were two special editions of the game that will be available in the US and Canada through GameStop and EB Games. The first is the Battle Edition, which comes with a fight stick and three New 52 DLC skins for Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman. That will run $150. The second is the Collector’s Edition, which comes with the skins, an Injustice comic, a statue, and a digital copy of Justice League Doom. That will run you $100.
Injustice: Gods Among Us will be available on April 16th in North America, April 19th in Europe, for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.
