Hot Tub Time Machine Sequel in the Works

Hey, remember Hot Tub Time Machine? That movie that came out a few years back about a hot tub that take three old jackasses and one of their nephews back to the 80’s because of Russia? Don’t you just wish they would make another movie set within that rich universe? Well too damn bad.

THR is reporting that MGM is in “exploratory talks” with three of the original quartet: Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry, and Clark Duke. At this point John Cusack is not involved with the project. I guess he felt that a sequel would sully the good reputation of the original. Corddry could also be co-writing the script with Steve Pink, the director of the original who is also in talks to return.

While this has been in the works for months now, the project is still in the early stages of development. People are saying that talks with the stars and director could still fall through. But, if things go well, “insiders” are saying that MGM will fast track the production of the movie.
