Senko no Night Raid Gets Licensed by Sentai Filmworks

Ok, so we haven’t done a lot of anime news on the site. Hell, Anime Boston has been going on for a couple of days and I didn’t even know. But we’re working on it. Expect more anime stuff in the future. Like this for example.

At the aforementioned Anime Boston, Sentai Filmworks announced that they will be licensing Senko no Night Raid for release in North America. Being called Night Raid 1931, the 13 episode anime will be coming to DVD and Blu-ray this August.

What is Senko no Night Raid, you ask? Because of the recent wars they were involved in by 1931, the Imperial Japanese Army has been dispatched to mainland China. Set in Shanghai, the series focuses on a special spy organization within the army called Sakurai Kikan. Oh, and everyone is this group is an esper. So look for this WWII era psychic spy anime this summer. Apparently it’s pretty good.
