Country exclusive games and deals usually don’t bother me too much, but this one really does. I guess it’s just the timing. Europe’s getting the entire Assassin’s Creed series in a bundle with all the DLC and fancy shit. What do we Canucks get? A smaller version of the Wii.
Nintendo has announced that on December 7th, just in time for the holidays, they will be releasing a new iteration of the Wii. Not the Wii U, the console they just released with decent enough graphics and stupid gimmicks, but the predecessor to that one with kinda shit graphics and even stupider gimmicks.
The Wii Mini will come in matte black with a red border, which I’ll admit does look pretty cool. It will also not be able to connect to the internet and not be able to play GameCube games, two of the main selling points for the system when it originally came out. So people won’t be able to play any of their old GameCube games and won’t have any access to the Wii Shop. Packaged in the box is the console, sensor bar, and a red Wii remote Plus with Nunchuk.
The Wii Mini is coming to Canada on December 7th for $99.
