If you live on planet Earth, you know that former film star and bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger has been the governor of California for the last 8 years. But now that he is out of office, a lot of people have been wondering what will he do? Will he return to film or do something else?
Well, apparently he is launching his own cartoon series. Yesterday, Arnie announced during a MipTV conference that he will be starting an animated children’s series. The Governator, a collaboration between the titular Governator, A Squared Entertainment (never heard of them), Archie Comics and POW! Entertainment, the company started by Stan Lee of Marvel Comics fame, is a bit different from his standard projects.
Unlike his movies, no one will be dying or constantly swearing. The series follows Arnold and his three chipper young sidekicks as the help defend the world from transforming robots and help with natural disaster relief efforts all while doing his darndest to make it home for dinner every night.
But the TV show will not be the only medium for this series. After the show, there is a comic book series, some digital content and a 3D motion picture. No hard date has been set for the show, but it will be coming out in 2012.
Now, here’s the trailer:
