Spidey’s Sidekick, Alpha, Gets a 5 Issue Miniseries

Remember Spider-Man’s sidekick, Alpha? Did you like Alpha? Marvel says you do! Writer Joshua Hale Fialkov (I, Vampire) and artist Nuto Plati (Ultimate Spider-Man Adventures) are giving to a 5-issue miniseries with everyone’s “favorite” bratty, teenaged sidekick Alpha, in whatever aftermath of Amazing Spider-Man #700 happens to give us.

In an interview with CBR, Fialkov remained tight-lipped on the actual events of the miniseries. But he did say the idea on the project, “The idea for me is he started out — before all this happened — he was just a punk kid. He was sort of a dick, but he was in the background, nobody cared about him. Now, that same unremarkable kid gets shifted to the foreground and he goes crazy with ego. Now he has to live it down.”

Alpha will hit the shelves February 2013.
