Inglorious Basterds and Django May Become a Trilogy

In a recent interview, Quentin Tarantino mentioned that Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained “bespeak a trilogy”. These two mostly unrelated films are described by Tarantino as having a “companion piece quality”. It seems likely that if he does decide on a trilogy then the third film will also have its own separate story, and be put with the other two as a stylistic companion.
