In the most recent issue of SciFi Now Magazine, there was a piece on James Gunn’s next film Guardians of the Galaxy. Cosmic Book News got their hands on it and posted the following excerpt from the feature.
“Guardians of the Galaxy, an animated offering starring little-known cosmic characters like Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon and helmed by Super and Slither director James Gunn, will probably explore Thanos more – defending the universe being the whole raison d’être, after all. How an animated movie from a director known for subversive comedy and horror will neatly gel with the live-action movies is an obvious challenge, but it’s not the only one.”
CBR contact Marvel to confirm this and Marvel said that it was wrong. Guardians of the Galaxy will, in fact, be live action. Which I think is for the best. Sure it would be cool if there was an animated movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I think live action would be better for this movie.
