Unpublished Cyborg 009 Chapter Found

Earlier this week Ishimori Productions, a company that develops projects based exclusively on the work of Shotaro Ishinomori, found a 24 page colored chapter of Cyborg 009. The chapter was part of the Mythos Cyborg story arc and was finished 42 years ago.

Cyborg 009 followed a group of nine people who were kidnapped by the Black Ghost Organization, an evil… organization who wanted to jump start the next world war, and turned into cyborgs. The nine escape and decide to use their new cyborg powers to fight against Black Ghost. Since the original release of the manga in 1964, there have been two movies, two radio dramas, and three anime series. Personally, I have only seen the most recent anime series, and even that was 10 years ago. So I don’t exactly have the best memory of whether I liked the show or not.

The unprinted chapter will be featured in the third compiled volume of the original manga by Fukkan.com, which will be available this December. Fukkan released the other two volumes earlier this year, with the Underground Empire Yomi Version having come out in August and the Birth/Assassin Version having come out on October 23rd.
