Warner Bros. and NetherRealm have been slowly announcing new characters for their DC fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us. Since its initial announcement, Catwoman, Cyborg, and Nightwing have been added to the roster. Now, we have three more.
First up, Green Arrow. I guess after getting his own TV show WB and NetherRealm thought the character needed to get out there more. Above is a gameplay trailer. From what I saw, it looks like they are taking a more serious look at him. Everyone is getting this kind of treatment, but I still kind of want to see a fighting game with a boxing glove arrow.
The other two characters I’m going to give in one thing since I don’t know that much about them and this was the only screenshot I could get. So Green Lantern and The Joker are entering the fight now, which was inevitable. How can you have a DC fighting game without one of the DC Universe’s main good guy and one the best villains in any universe? We haven’t seen any gameplay for these two, yet, but I have an idea that Lantern will be a mid to heavy fighter while Joker will be more nimble and fast and gadget reliant.
Finally, we have the box art for the game. Injustice: Gods Among Us is coming to PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U April 2013.
