Back in September when it was announced that Borderlands 2 would have a season pass, I said that I liked the idea of a season pass. After a month, I still really like the idea, and apparently so does Ubisoft because they have announced a season pass for Assassin’s Creed III.
The pass was first revealed in a post on the PlayStation Blog where the different versions of the game were outlined. There’s the regular edition of the game for $60 and then there’s the Gold Edition, which includes the season pass, for $90. Since we didn’t have any other details at the time, all we could deduce about the pass was that it cost $30.
Since that post, Ubisoft has revealed more details on the pass. They confirmed that it will cost people $30, 2400 MS Points on Xbox, which is 25% discount if you were to by the packs individually. The pass gets you five DLC packs, including the three part single player campaign The Tyranny of King George. Here’s a synopsis.
“Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, the greatest hero of the revolution, George Washington, succumbs to the temptation of infinite power. The new King is born and his reign leaves no one untouched. To return freedom to the land our new hero must dethrone a tyrant he once called friend.”
So it’s a single player campaign where George Washington goes crazy and crowns himself King of America. Ubisoft can have all of my monies.
Assassin’s Creed III is due out October 30th for Xbox 360 and PS3, November 18th on Wii U, and November 20th on PC.
