It was inevitable but the pretty fantastic Mark of the Ninja game from Klei is getting itself a PC port. Now, some PC ports of console games usually get some shit treatment. The controls aren’t good, some assets don’t port well, the frame rate chugs, all kinds of things can go wrong. But Klei is making sure that isn’t happening.
Nels Anderson, lead designer of the game, told Rock Paper Shotgun that they are currently in the processing of tweaking the mouse and keyboard controls to make sure they all work well. He also said that the game would have no form of Games for Windows Live in it at all. This is purely a Steam release, so there’s that.
“I’m primarily a PC person myself, and I’m not okay in any way with this feeling like a shoddy port,” Anderson said, “It’s my intention that this is a full, proper version of the game in its own right.”
Mark of the Ninja will be available on Steam on October 16th for $14.99.
