Studios making TV shows based on comics is kind of becoming a thing nowadays. With Arrow coming up, Amazon in development, and Joss Whedon working on that show for Marvel, it looks like any comic book character with some recognition is getting a series. So then why is Midnight, Mass. getting a series? I’ve never even heard of this fucking book.
NBC has put a drama series based on the Vertigo comic book into development. The script is being written by Evan Daughtery, who recently co-wrote Snow White and the Huntsman, and the series is being produced by Warner Bros. TV and Gerber Pictures. John Rozum, the creator of the comic book, will serve as an executive consultant.
The comic series itself is about a husband and wife team who work as paranormal investigators based out of the town of Midnight, Massachusetts. Together, they deal with “supernatural foes, macabre mysteries and the most frightening creature of all: marriage.”
I don’t really have much to say on this. Like I said, I have never heard of this series before so I don’t know whether it’s good or bad or how I think the show will turn out. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
