Back when I was a young lad, I stumbled across a movie at my local Blockbuster called The Brave Little Toaster. I watched that movie again and again. Now, at the ripe old age of 20, do you know what I remember about it? That fucking clown. It’s like if Sweet Tooth was a firefighter.
Anyway, Waterman Entertainment, the company that brought you I don’t know what, has acquired the rights to the film and are going to be remaking it. The new film will be a mixture of live action and CG animation. I guess that makes sense since the producer of the film, Steve Waterman, also worked on the live action/CG Alvin and the Chip oh god this movie’s going to suck.
For those who don’t remember the movie or haven’t seen it, either ever or in 17 years, the movie focuses on a toaster, a lamp, a radio, an electric blanket, and a vacuum cleaner as they try to find their original owner.
I am simultaneously hoping this movie will turn out good and praying to the dark ones for the behind this remake to be thrown into a vat of melted and boiling VHS tapes of the original movie. While I barely remember any of it, it was still a part of my childhood. This movie will always hold some kind of place in my heart, even if I forget where that place is from time to time, and it would be great to see this movie be not terrible. And hey, with modern CG technology being what it is they could make that clown way creepier.
