I am not sure how The Kids in the Hall reached, so I don’t know if many of the Americans or other nationalities who aren’t Canadian know who the Kids in the Hall are. They were a sketch comedy troupe started in the 80’s consisting of Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney and Scott Thompson. Since the group disbanded or stopped working together or something, we’ve only really seen Foley and McDonald show up again. But now Thompson is coming out of wherever he was to step back on to our TV screens.
Thompson has joined the cast of Hannibal, NBC’s attempt at a TV series revolving around Hannibal Lecter. He will playing Jimmy Price, a member of the FBI’s behavioral science unit, who specializes in fingerprints and spatter patterns. Because you can tell a lot about a persons behavior through their fingerprints.
I don’t have high hopes for this show. Anyone other than Anthony Hopkins playing everyone’s favorite cannibal just seems wrong, and I can’t imagine it being very good.
