So just out of curiosity, how many people out there have been clamoring for a re-imagining of biblical stories with vampires and shit? Well, for the five of you, your bizarre wishes are coming true. Sony is moving forward with The Redemption of Cain, based on the story of the first murder but with vampires and shit.
Now some of you out there may be wondering why they are moving forward with this really bad idea. What would possess them to think this is a good idea? Will Smith would possess them. The Fresh Prince himself said earlier this summer that he was looking to maybe make this film his directorial debut.
While Smith’s Overlook Entertainment is producing the film, it hasn’t been confirmed or anything that Smith will be directing it.
Casting for the movie will start soon and the studio is hoping to start production in July 2013.
