Castle Crashers Coming to Steam

Castle Crashers was one of the games from the original Summer of Arcade promotion on the XBLA. Since its release in 2008 it hasn’t left the best selling XBLA games of all time list, and it has started to branch out. It was released on the PSN two years ago and now it is coming to your computer.

The Behemoth, the developers of Castle Crashers and the (at some point) upcoming BattleBlock Theater, posted on their forums that the critically acclaimed beat-’em-up will be coming to Steam in the near future. This version of the game will have integrated voice chat, Steam achievements, Steam Cloud support and gamepad support, as well as local and online multiplayer.

The system requirements for game were also released and they look reasonable enough:

• OS: Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8

• Processor: Dual Core Processor 2GHz+

• Memory: 1GB

• Hard Disk Space: 300MB

• Video Card: Graphics: 256 MB dedicated directx 9.0c compatible card

• Sound: DirectX 9.0 compatible sound card

No word yet on when Castle Crashers will be gracing the Steam store.
