Rosamund Pike Joins The World’s End

The Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy have been some of my favorite movies of recent memory. What is the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy, you ask? It is the trio of movies directed by Edgar Wright and starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. The first two parts of the trilogy, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, are spectacular movies and the final installment in the series, The World’s End, will start filming this September. The film is about a group of 40 something friends reuniting to attempt a legendary pub crawl ending at mythical pub, The World’s End. During the crawl, they discover something that could end all of humankind. We don’t much about the casting of the movie that isn’t Pegg and Frost. So far, we only know one.

According to The Daily Mail, Rosamund Pike has joined the cast of The World’s End. I don’t know about you guys, but the only things I know her from are Surrogates as Bruce Willis’ wife and Doom as Karl Urban’s science sister. We don’t know anything about the character she will be playing at this time, but we will keep you informed when we get the information.

The World’s End is scheduled for a spring 2013 release, and spring could not get here fast enough.
