One area where Kick-Ass 2 the comic expanded from the original was the costumed characters. In Kick-Ass we had Kick-Ass, Hit Girl, Big Daddy and Red Mist. In Kick-Ass 2 we had all of them except Big Daddy and a few hundred others. So for the movie they would need to bring in some new actors for those roles. On Wednesday, we got the first one.
Donald Faison, best known from the TV show Scrubs, is in negotiations to join the cast of Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall (no, seriously). He will be playing the role of Doctor Gravity, who in the comics was a physics professor with a baseball bat and one of the founding members of Justice Forever, that world’s first superhero team. In the movie, however, he will be a copy writer. So the name Doctor Gravity doesn’t really make much sense.
