Joss Whedon Signed On For Avengers 2 and Marvel TV Series

I don’t think it’s any surprise that Joss Whedon will be writing and directing the second Avengers movie. His work on the movie contributed greatly to its success. On Tuesday an added bonus was revealed. Joss Whedon will be helping in the development of a Marvel TV show. Likely the one set in the Avengers universe that was announced late last month.

Marvel’s official statement read: “Joss Whedon has signed an exclusive deal with Marvel Studios for film and television through the end of June 2015. As part of that deal, Whedon will write and direct Marvel’s Avengers 2 as well as help develop a new live action series for Marvel Television at ABC.  He will also contribute creatively to the next phase of Marvel’s cinematic universe.”

It seems from this statement that there will be more Joss Whedon in Marvel’s future. This can only mean good things.
