Christopher Eccleston Will Play Villain in Thor 2

Christopher Eccleston, also known as the Ninth Doctor, has officially joined the cast of Thor: The Dark World. He will playing opposite Chris Hemsworth’s Thor as Malekith the Accursed.

I don’t read anything Thor, so I have no idea who the hell this guy is. According to Deadline, he is the ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim who has fought with Thor many times in the comics.

So yeah. We got the Doctor playing an evil dark elf king fighting against the God of Thunder. I can get behind that.

Thor: The Dark World is scheduled for release on November 8th, 2013.
