Steve Niles and Wes Craven are Making a Comic

Steve Niles, the writer of 30 Days of Night and Criminal Macabre, and Wes Craven, director of The Nightmare on Elm Street and Scream, have teamed up to make a new comic series for Liquid Comics.

Called Coming of Rage, the series was created by Craven but is going to be written by Niles. No details on the plot of the story, but judging by the cover thing that was released, I’m guessing it has something to do with a vampire, a werewolf, a zombie and a dude.

The series, which is the first thing to come of the publishing partnership between Craven, Liquid Comics and Arnold Rifkin, the producer of Live Free of Die Hard, will be a five issue mini-series that will start in 2013. Liquid also wants some digital goodies for the iPhone and iPad and compliment the release.

But that’s not all. Craven and Rifkin are also trying to develop a movie based on the comic with Liquid CEO Sharad Devarajan. Kind of a ballsy move, what with the book not even being done yet and having no idea how people will react to it, but whatever.
