Irrational Wants People With An 85 On Metacritic Or Higher… Or Not

Irrational Games, developers of BioShock and its upcoming sequel BioShock Infinite, are looking for a Design Manager. They want someone with over six years of experience in the games industry, someone with a strong passion and experience with FPS games and have a Metascore of 85% or higher.

The post on Gamasutra for the position said that one of the requirements for the job is, “Credit on at least one game with an 85+ Average Metacritic Review Score.”

Now, if you click the link and go to the post, you will not see that requirement listed anywhere. From the looks of things, either Irrational changed the requirements for the position by removing that Metascore thing entirely. It’s not listed on Gamasutra or on the posting on Irrational’s site.

I guess Irrational realized it was kind of stupid to hire people based on Metascores.
